Students in Sumner County Attain LifeSkills
Thanks to the Sumner County Community Drug Action Team, Inc, 300 students successfully completed Botvin LifeSkills Training, an evidence-based substance abuse and violence prevention program. Throughout the 2011-2012 school year, students from Argonia Elementary, Conway Springs - St. Joseph Catholic School, Oxford Jr./Sr. High School, South Haven Elementary, Wellington Middle School and the Roosevelt Education Center, learned and practiced skills such as decision-making, assertiveness, and effective communication to help them make healthy choices and avoid risky behavior.
